Green Socialism

So I got a phone call from this person who tried to convince me to become a Green Socialist. Normally I hang up on the idiots after I get their name, company and phone number and of course tell them a few choice phrases. This time I decided to let this fool talk so I could learn a little information about this new political fad that people are talking about in certain circles. So below I have broken down and made comments on what I was told.


The GSN believes that every person has the right to live a life free from poverty, deprivation and discrimination in a clean, safe environment where natural and human resources enjoy their dignity and integrity, developing in the best interests of all, free from exploitation.

That is what voting is suppose to be for, but I have yet to participate in a real voting process that did not have some part of it broken. There are people behind the curtain, hiding in shadow with the power. It is these people that must be found and dealt with in most public and brutal fashion.


As Green Socialists we oppose the capitalist system that undermines our core values - democracy and accountability, sustainability, integrity, equality and diversity. We believe that there is an alternative to the uninhibited market dominated by the powerful. We believe that wealth exists in society to meet the needs of the people. We aim to create a democratically controlled society where social need, fair trade, environmental protection and sustainability are put before private profit and its disregard for ecological danger.


If I invent something or write a best seller and make a large amount of money I do not want to give it away or share it, I earned it myself.


In striving to achieve these aims we acknowledge that change can come only through people themselves becoming empowered and inspired to develop a society and politics in line with their concerns. This cannot simply be achieved by overthrowing or taking control of the state. Green Socialism is a means to creating that empowerment and inspiration, not an end in itself.

GSN is for a socialist society that lives in harmony with its environment and respects its many different individuals . We are for a society that produces for need, not for private profit, and in which people and communities have a say in all aspects of their lives. We are glad to be among many groups campaigning for a better world. We also actively support campaigns for animal welfare.


Hmm, look what happened to the Native American Indian. I respect the life they live and lived. I would be honored to be able to live in harmony with my environment the way they did. It is not the case now. The human race has moved too far, too fast.


I get very angry when people try to put a label on me. I am not a sheep like 95% of the United States population. Are you a sheep? Think about it.
