What if I have to Pee Really Badly?
There is no Law but...

One of the questions I get asked most often is "what if I have to pee really badly, what should I do?  It's usually asked in the context of all the stalls being full, and only the middle urinal of three being open. Of course, my first answer is always to just wait.  This usually leads to the "what if I'm about to wet my pants", or "what if I'm about to get severe kidney failure". What we need to remember here is that we are talking about bathroom Etiquette.  These are not laws, and there are no fines to be received if you break any of these guidelines (though I'd like to change that one day).    In extenuating circumstances, though it pains me to admit it, sometimes you've just got to go ahead and pee. You should follow the guidelines presented here whenever possible, but we have no desire to martyr anyone who refuses to bend to a particular situation.

Besides, not peeing in your pants is the first rule of any kind of etiquette!
